2021 Homemade Advent Calendar πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸŽ…

Hello everyone ! Welcome back for the first Christmas-themed post of 2021 ! As usual, I’ll upload a new article here every 3 days. So.. stay tuned for more content along the next weeks !

Today, we start with the traditionnal Advent Calendar post. I’m gonna share with you, how I made one for my mom, who happens to be abroad this year (still don’t know if she’ll be able to come back for Christmas, we shall see, anyway, I’m gonna send it to her) and 20 different ideas for Advent Calendar filling.

Let’s get started !

#Making an Advent Calendar for my mom 🎁

It’s actually a very easy DIY, you’ll need some tape, a craft knife, some scissors, some wrapping paper and some cardboard boxes. For mine, I used 2 of these cat wet food ones, for the outside, and 1.5 for the dividers inside.

I joined the 2 boxes together, using some tape. Then I divided each box into different floors, each floor having 3 or 4 compartments.

Using my craft knife I cut out the openings for each compartment, the dividers inside a floor and the dividers between floors.

Finally I closed the top of each box and now every compartment is ready to get filled.

I filled the compartments and carefully covered the whole thing with some wrapping paper.

Then I marked down each compartment with a number in the center and little dots all over the edge, so that my mom will just have to pierce through each number to get her surprise.

Tadaaa !

I’m very happy with the result. It was quite easy to make and still I think it makes an impact, doesn’t look “that much” like a homemade one.

Now, let’s have a look at filling ideas !
