Welcome back everyone ! How are you today? Did you have a good week? 🙂
Most of the time, creativity rhymes with inspiration. But what is inspiration? How do we get it? What is the difference with plagiarism? So many questions… Today,I’m gonna share with you how I get inspired, and my advices to stay unique when creating.
How do I get inspired?
Today, with the internet, almost everywhere, it’s very easy to find inspiration. My favourite “place” to find ideas is the well-known social media PINTEREST. Everyday, I have to check it, find ideas, nice pictures etc. It’s literally Alibaba’s cave! So many things about so many subjects for so many people.😶 That’s incredible!😲
But the internet isn’t my only way to find inspiration. Magazines are also a very good way to get inspired. My favourite magazine is the British MollieMakes. Do you know? I love the design, especially the cover. I could make a collection of these cute and fancy covers 🙂 ❤ Something I like about MollieM. is that it makes you learn about bloggers, DIYers etc. This way you may widen your community, get into a community, make acquaintances with people who share your passions. Also, this magazine provides you with interesting advices and concepts along their articles.
But I also do cultivate my personal inspiration. But you maybe ask, how? I’ll give you some advices and tips.
When you create, personal inspiration is a key. Without personal inspiration, you can’t be unique and original when creating, you’re just dropping into plagiarism.(more or less) So, cultivating personal inspiration is primordial !
The first thing to do is to stop watching Youtube videos or looking at Pins on Pinterest ( for a while of course, not your entire life) This way you won’t get influenced by others’ work. I think we could say it’s kind like meditation. To get it, you have to separate yourself from the rest of the world, to sit a your personal bubble. In a word, it’s a cerebral exercice.
But sometimes, the first option isn’t enough. You still need to find inspiration in the world. Depending on what you want to create, go into the countryside, a park, on the beach and let Nature inspire you. Another place to go : shops, museums etc But if you want to create something to sell, I would recommend you to be very careful with this option, plagiarism is so easy to reach. Of course, if you just want to create something for you and your family, go ahead ! 🙂
I hope this kind of post interested you. If you want to add something to it, please comment it, I would be happy to read your thoughts on the subject. 🙂 Also, if there is any subject you want me to talk about like today, tell me.
I’ll see you soon in a next post.
Take care of yourself ❤
