Hello everyone!
It’s been a while since I made a DIY post out there. But a few days ago, I was wandering on Pinterest (as everyday) and I found some pictures with a brick wall as a background. And I thought that was pretty. So I decided to make something similar and use it both as a making pictures background and as a piece of decor in my appartment.
Let me show you how I made it, with just a few things.
I used some nude acrylic paint and some pink chalkpaint, a canvas for the base and some cardboard (cookie boxes I recycled)
I painted the canvas with the nude paint and leave to dry. Then, I cut the cardboard to make the bricks and painted them with the pink paint.
When everything was dry, I displayed the bricks on the canvas, to have an idea of the final look, before gluing. And when I was satisfied with it, I glued each piece of cardboard on the canvas.
I really love how it turned out, I could have just painted the bricks on the canvas, but the way I made it gives so much more texture to the final piece. And it allowed me to recycle some food wrapping that I didn’t have to throw in the bin! 🙂
What do you think? Do you like it? How would you have done?
Thank you again for passing by and reading, I really appreciate.
I’ll talk to you soon in a next post,
Until then, take care of yourself ❤
Ady ❤
