Hello!
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved reading. I’ve always find tons of books in our house.I realized a few days ago, I don’t talk that much about books and reading stuff, even if it’s a big part of my life and myself.
Today, I just want to share with you my favourite authors and their books among my favourites. Maybe it’ll inspire you for gifts or your own readings.
#1 Tolkien, the one and only! I’ve read all his books. Choosing a favourite among his books is quite hard for me actually, so I’ll pick two big pieces. The Lord of the Rings, which made me discover this fabulous world of Middle Earth.
The History of Middle-Earth, a pure jewel in my opinion, maybe a bit hard to keep on track for someone not used to read that much.
#2 Christian Jacq, a magician from Ancient Egypt. He writes mostly fictions taking place in Ancient Egypt. Every time I start one of his books, I simply can’t get my eyes out of it. So, choosing a favourite from him is also hard for me.
I picked up two good series:
The Judge of Egypt, a trilogy about a young judge trying to save Egypt and Ramses Two from a conspiracy.
And Egypt awakened, another serie telling about the beggining of Pharaohs.
#3 Anne McCaffrey, the queen of Fantasy. You probably noticed that I love very much fantasy books.I’ve only read her Ballad of Pern serie, but it was enough to know if I like her style.
#4 Jean M. Auel. Thanks to her, I discovered more about Prehistoric era, Cro-magnon and Neandertal men.I’ve only read Earth’s Children, a great story about Ayla a young Cro-magnon woman.
#5 Pauline Gedge, another Ancient Egypt author. I’ve discovered her work with her fiction about the Queen Hatshepsut, Child of the Morning. Honestly, this book went straight into my heart, making me cry at the end, it was so powerful. I got this feeling every time I read one of her books.
#6 Elizabeth Goudge, a fairy turned into a writer. I’ve read a few of her books and honestly there is always thats sense of magic that gets me every time. But if I had to give you a favourite, I would pick up Gentian Hill.
#7 Han Suyin, a window on last century’s China.I’ve always been attracted to China, since I was a baby actually. I’ve read a few books from authors of the 20th century, a quite hard period for China, but Han Suyin was the first one. And she did have a great impact on my views on China’s recent History.
A Many-splendoured Thing is so far my favourite from here.
Lastly, there’s a trilogy I like very much. It’s Empire Trilogy, from Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts. I can’t say the authors are among my favourites because that’s their only book I’ve read so far.
There are many other writers and books I’ve read, but here are only my top favourites. What about you, which authors are your favourites? And which books? Tell me.

That’s all for today’s post, hope you like this subject, a little bit different from usually.
Thanks for passing by and reading, I really appreciate.
I’ll talk to you soon in a next post,
Until then, take care of yourself ❤
Ady ❤
