Christmas Snow:
Each day that brings us closer to Christmas,
We attentively look at the sky.
As we wait to place the Christ child in the crib,
We also wait for snow to come.
And as we display the decorations,
Outside we hope to see some snowflakes.
As on top of the tree is rising a star,
Little by little the sky is covered with a grey veil.
In the living room the tree is dressing up with thousands of jewels,
And at his feet presents are piling up in amounts.
Days inexorably pass by,
But no carpet of snow for the reindeers,
Who pulling out up to the roof a sleigh,
Will bring to everyone presents.
Then on the so much waited for day,
Finally the snow came.
And on this day the white snow we celebrate,
And also the miracle announced by the Annunciation.

Neige De Noël:
Chaque jour qui nous rapproche de Noël,
Nous scrutons attentifs le ciel.
Attendant d’installer dans la crèche l’enfant Jésus,
Nous attendons aussi de la neige la venue.
Et tandis que nous disposons les décorations,
Au dehors nous espérons voir des flocons.
Alors que se dresse à la tête du sapin une étoile,
Peu à peu le ciel se couvre d’un gris voile.
Au salon l’arbre se pare de multiples joyaux,
Et à ses pieds s’amoncellent quantités de cadeaux.
Les jours inexorablement s’enchaînent,
Mais point de tapis de neige pour les rennes,
Qui tirant jusqu’au toit un traîneau,
Apporteront à tous des cadeaux.
Puis, au jour tant attendu,
Enfin la neige est venue.
Et en ce jour la blanche neige nous célébrons,
Ainsi que le miracle annoncé par l’Annonciation.
