Hello everyone! I’m back with an other Zero Waste and Zero Spending DIYs round ! Today I showing you 2 more DIYs of the kind. They’re both decorative. I’ve made a wool plaid, instantly adopted by my cats, and a diamond suspension, which was at the time for my entryway in my student appartment (left since).
Let’s get started!
#1 Wool Leftovers Plaid
I was submerged with lots of leftovers of wool. After seeing my mom crocheting a plaid with some of her leftovers, I decided to do something similar. But instead of crocheting, I went for knitting, using Sarabeautycorner’s technique on her tutorial on YouTube, watch here. I made several strips and sewed them together, to create the plaid. It wasn’t even finished that my cat already adopted it and slept on it. Cat approved !
#2 Diamond Suspension
You need some straws, mine were in plastic but others are fine too, and thick thread. I already shared with you how to make one, in a Christmas post you can read here. This one used to decorate my entryway (as a pendant light, so the lightbulb wouldn’t feel so lonely), in my student appartment before I moved back to my hometown. Now it’s on display somewhere in my room, waiting for another perfect place.
That would be everything for today’s post, I hope you like it, as much as I did enjoy making it.
Thank you for passsing by and reading my blog.
I’ll talk to you soon in a next post.
Until then, take care of yourself ❤
Ady ❤
