Hello everyone ! I hope you’re all doing well. Now we are enjoying the marvelous colors of Fall and to be honest it feels so good to see all these colors in Nature ! Last week I was in Hungary for a very small trip to visit my mom and OMG the colors there: multiples shades of gold and copper, with the bright blue sky and water of the Balaton lake, it was simply magical. And on the way back, through Austria, I got some more beautiful colors, up in the Austrian mountains, with the dark green of pine trees, all the reds, oranges and yellows. It was sugar for the eyes, really. And it did me quite some good.

Today I would like to do something different from usual, not a dedicated post on a dedicated topic. Just a small chit-chat with you, updating about the blog and what’s coming next here, as you may not all be aware of everything happening around here.

Indeed, I recently started to refresh a bit the blog bit by bit, from time to time. I created the general design in 2017 when creating the blog but since then, I’ve improved and got to know more things about design and so on. So it was time to “repaint” the blog a bit and make it look brand new again. If you have time, obviously, please feel free to have a look around and give me your feedback. I would be very happy to hear them.

Also, since last September I launched another little project, slightly different from what I usually do here actually. I created a Youtube channel dedicated to AMVs. You certainly didn’t know but I’ve been watching over the last years some Japanese animes (honestly I’m very picky when it comes to animes) and Chinese dramas (television series). Actually I never thought I would make AMVs until quite recently. Let me tell you how it happened. Over the last year (I think) I finished watching Natsume Yuujinchou and got myself in the same situation as many other fan in the world: waiting for the continuation of the manga and anime. To kill the wait, I looked for theories about the manga. This is how I looked for AMVs and other videos on Youtube, related to a theory I was into. And I found…. well… almost nothing. This nothing planted a small seed in my mind and it grew up until I really made the move and launched the Youtube channel. There I try to create something meaningful and interesting, not just a combo of music and pictures. No I really want to do something well-done. For each AMV I work on the chosen song lyrics, translate them in all the languages I know, as I make myself the subtitles in these languages, I choose pictures to get well with the lyrics and so on. I really want to tell stories, beautifully crafted, via this audiovisual format. Other little new thing here: the Newsletter. This is something I wanted to do for quite a long time. I wanted to do something more related to art, poetry, inspiration and so on. But I couldn’t include these subjects in my articles and I wasn’t sure it would interest everyone here. So I decided it would be best to use a smaller format for that. With the newsletter I want to focus on writing, talking about Nature, inspo, art finds and so on. The Newsletter is free, all you have to do to receive it in your mailbox, is to subscribe via the form available on the Newsletter page on my blog. And every first day of each season you’ll receive my seasonal newsletter.

For now this is all the updating I can do about the blog, things are slowly keeping on track, coming as usual. I’m also working on this year Christmas content (I’m so excited for this period as it means more articles on the blog, more challenge from usual, more content for you all). Stay tuned for the 25th of November ( so soon !!!) if you like this time of year and this kind of content.

However, there’s something else coming our way. Something I very excited about actually. Something I’ve been dying to do for a very, very long time. And for a very long time I’ve been hesitating about doing it. But courage came and the time has come for me to dive in.

I’m opening my Etsy shop very soon. I still don’t have an Open-day date to give you but I’ll keep you updated on this matter, don’t worry. On this Etsy shop, I will sell handsewn scrunchies, handmade hairpins (hairsticks kind), handmade keychains and postcards and bookmarks I designed myself with my own pictures. I’m creating my own Etsy shop for many reasons: obviously for financial reasons but also because I’ve always wanted to create beautiful and different things and offer them to others. And this is what Etsy allows me to do.
