2022 LENT – Lent Time Lifehacks

Hello everyone ! How are you doing ? Hope you’re all well. It’s been more than a week that we already passed through mid-Lent and today we’re more and more leaning towards Easter. Times really flies my goodness ! By the way, since Easter is coming on us, we’re avery soon shifting to Easter-themed content. Except today, there’ll be one Lent-themed post left and 2 Spring-themed other, and then the full Easter content will conquer this little blog of ours ! Stay tuned for that !

Anyway, today, since the end of Lent is getting closer and closer, I would like to share with you my Lent time lifehacks, you know these little things that help one to go through Lent a bit less hardly. I know that everyone is different, for some people going through Lent is far easier than for others, for some people Lent means one specific thing and for others it means something different. But I hope anyone can find something useful into these lifehacks. If any of you have different hacks from the ones I’m gonna give you, please feel free to share them with us, it’ll be very helpful and kind of you. 🙂

Let’s get started !

#1 Find someone who also does Lent. “Together is easier than alone.” If you are at least two person doing Lent, you can support and encourage each other, which makes it far easier I think. Knowing you’re not alone gives you strength and confidence when doing something. How many times people do not dare doing something because they feel alone doing it ?! Obviously, it doesn’t mean you can’t do it by yourself without any support. It is possible to do many things alone by oneself. But it’s always nice and easier when someone is with you or behind you, isn’t it ?

#2 Don’t put pressure on yourself. When I say pressure, I mean too much pressure and bad pressure. I think that putting a little bit of “healthy” pressure to ourselves can benefit us, but too much is too much and ends up being bad. It is not necessary to put on oneself so much pressure. It is on the contrary better to take it more lightly from a less rigid perspective. During this period of the year, I believe it is important to keep being patient and tolerant towards oneself. A little bit of softness that soothes the hardness of the exercice and make of this holy time of Lent a enjoyable and insightful experience from which you’ll get out matured and enhanced.

#3 Look at things from a happy and positive perspective. I f you look at Lent as a laborious thing, as a chore, you’re very likely to treat it this way and not enjoy it. If you want to enjoy Lent, look at it as if it were a game, something funny and happy. This way you’ll feel playful, joyful. Look for happiness in every small details of Lent and it’ll give you even more happiness.

#4 Use this opportunity to make more things you like. This is one of the ways to call Lent happy. Do things that make you happy, things you enjoy doing. This way, you’ll feel better and associate these good vibes to Lent. In the same spirit, I would recommend you to do things for others, help others. Believe me, you’ll feel so much better and happier after doing good things for others, making others happy. You reap what you sow.

#5 Have a project to start at the beginning of Lent and to finish at the end of Lent. Associating a project to this specific period can help you keep being motivated and visualize you efforts and the results, maybe better than a simple diet or being helping others. It can be anything: writing a book (a small one since it’s only 40 days), buiold something, makeover a room, make a piece of art, plan and organize a trip or an event…. There’re so many things you can do, choose whatever you like, whatever inspires you, whatever matters to you, as long as it helps you visualize Lent and your fruitful efforts.

#6 Drink a lot of water and tea. This is the best advice for anyone following any food diet, may it be for losing weight or for Lent. Water and tea fill up the stomach and by doing so reduce the hunger and so the the difficulty of eating less or differently. Personally I use this method a lot when fasting, it tricks my body and helps me a lot not to give up to temptation.

That’ll be all for today’s post, I hope you liked it and found it useful. Thank you for passing by and reading my blog. It gives me soo much joy and strength.

I’ll talk to you soon in a next post,

Until then, take care of yourself ❤

Ady ❤
