Traditionnal Egg Custard Pie

Hello everyone ! Welcome back for another recipe. Today, I’m gonna be sharing with you how to make this delicious egg custard pie. You’ll see, despite how it looks, it’s very easy to make. It’s also a recipe I like to make when I have too much eggs and milk and want to get rid of some.

Let’s get started !

You’ll need:

  • 1 puff pastry
  • 3 eggs
  • 1L of milk
  • 160g of sugar
  • some vanilla sugar
  • 100g of corn flour

Place your pastry in a tin in the fridge and preheat at 180Β°C your oven.

Beat the eggs with the corn flour and 125mL of milk (taken from the total 1L). Pour the remaining milk with the sugars into a saucepan and heat to boiling. Be cautious since the milk suddenly rises up when boiling. We don’t want a milky disaster in your kitchen πŸ˜‰

Pour the boiled milk onto the egg mixture. Keep stiring when pouring. Pour it back into the saucepan and keep stiring for about 1 minute.

Finally pour the mixture into the molded pastry and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.
