Wanna start a blog? Here are my advices and tips for you!

Hello! Welcome back everyone! Today’s post will be about a topic someone asked me once: which tips and advices I would give to anyone you would like to start a blog.

Here we go!

#1 – Plan and prepare

Before launching your blog, you have to prepare, even a small strategy. What will be your blog about? Choose something unique, original, something that is really you. Your blog will kinda be an e-version of you, if I may say. Design your logo. This logo will become your ambassador and allow others to found you on social media. Which platform? Choose a platform easy to use. I know there’re severals on the web. I highly recommend to you not to go straight at the first you encounter, like I did. Take the time to compare them, look for reviews, look for the one that’ll fit you and your purposes the most. And you don’t have to know about coding and so on, to create a beautiful blog. Look at mine, I don’t know anything about coding and never used it for creating and maintaining this blog. How often will you publish? Choose a publishing frequency. I would advise you to do the same as I did, one post a week. But sometimes you can upload more often, this is what I do for December and Christmas time. It’s essential that you have regular publishing frequency, at least the first years, as regularity helps you get a regular audience and not stay in a dark corner of the Internet.

#2 – Create your blog

This is one of the most exciting part for me. Creating the blog, giving it colors and shapes, customizing it to your tastes, making it look like you. It’s also a very important step as the look of your blog will determine what vibes you want to give to visitors, it’s their window on you and your world, like a company.

#3 – Plan ahead your content

Planning ahead what you’ll upload will help you not to get too nervous about maintaining the blog and keep on path. Of course, you may change along the way, but having a schedule or kinda is very helpful. I speak from my own experience.

#4 – Make a list of the content you wish to talk about on the blog

This way, you’ll never run dry of posts. I personally have a list of future articles, another with recipes, etc. I regularly update these lists whenever I have ideas coming up. Otherwise, I would forget many things and many post ideas.

#5 – Plan for future improvements, updatings, extensions for the blog but take it slowly

It’s good to want to create many things along with the blog, but if you start too many things at the same time, it won’t work. It won’t, believe me. Take the time to install everything. This way each thing will be well-made and have value. It’s only when you master one thing that you can add something else. It’s like building a house. First you make the foundations, then the walls, then the roof and so on. Building a blog is like building a house. It’s takes time to build a beautiful house, whereas you can build a bad-built house in no time. It’s the same when it comes to building a blog.

That’ll be everything for today’s post, I hope you enjoyed it and found it useful.
